How We Differ from a Traditional Playtime Daycare

Here at KidSpot, we offer drop-in childcare for parents that need temporary care for their children while they run errands or handle last-minute responsibilities. We are not a traditional playtime daycare center. Instead, we provide access to a safe, supervised environment for children with operation hours that work with most parents’ busy schedules. Here are a few of the main differences between our temporary childcare and traditional playtime daycare.

How We Differ from a Traditional Playtime Daycare

  • We don’t require an enrollment process. One of the holdups that parents often have with traditional daycare centers is the lengthy enrollment process that sometimes requires weeks of notice and even waitlists. With us, you can drop off your child same day without this process.
  • We believe in unstructured, supervised play. Many daycares have a daily schedule of staff-planned activities. While this approach may work for some kids, we’ve found that letting children find their own fun with our many toys and games while under our supervision allows them to better use their imaginations and more easily make new friends in a low-pressure environment.
  • We charge per hour. A major turn off for many parents looking at traditional playtime daycare centers is the cost. Many of these centers require memberships or paying for time that you may not necessarily use. At our drop-in childcare center, you only have to pay for the time that your child is here.
