What to Look for in a Childcare Center

HomeBlogWhat to Look for in a Childcare Center

Finding the right childcare center to look after your child can be stressful. You want to make sure you find an environment that is both safe and enriching for your child, not to mention affordable and suited to your family’s needs. There are several things to look out for that make for a quality childcare center. Below are a few of them.

What to Look for in a Childcare Center

  • High Quality Staff. Leaving your children in someone else’s hands can be worrying, but our staff here at KidSpot are experienced and love to work with children. Most of our staff have experience teaching and watching children within the WSFC school system and have been at our childcare center for over 10 years. We also have a staff member certified in CPR.
  • Hourly Childcare. You don’t want to pay for time that your child wasn’t actually at the center, but many daycares and similar centers require day, week, or even ongoing reservations with steep fees. We believe that you should only pay for the time your child spends with us, which is why we charge hourly, not a large flat fee.
  • Unstructured Playtime. Too much structure can be stressful for some kids, especially during their play time. We have many toys and games for children to play with using their own imaginations rather than pre-planned activities that not every child will enjoy. Our unstructured but supervised playtime is perfect for children with all different play and toy preferences.
